I was watching old adverts, those that aired in TV when I was little. There is this one made by an insurance company. This company, I don´t know why, used the bridge of San Francisco as a corporate symbol. In the advert there were many people in the bridge and then they start to say "If I could live again... I´d see more sunrises... I´d see more sunsets... I´d travel more... I´d work less " and so on. Then It seems that they throw themselves from the bridge but it turns out they are bungee jumping. Borges once said that being threatened with death isn´t scary at all. What is really scary is being threatened with immortality. I agree. I had in my house a short compilation of tales from Borges called "the Aleph" (the aleph is a jewish letter, I think. It is also a symbol used for the different cardinalities of sets that have an infinite quantity of elements).
